4 Days Game In Queen Elizabeth Park

4 Days Game In Queen Elizabeth Park

Overview

Located in western Uganda in the Kasese District, straddling the equator and stretching from the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains to the shores of Lake Edward and Lake George, Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda's most visited and biodiverse safari destination. Covering approximately 1,978 square kilometres, it is Uganda's second largest national park after Murchison Falls. It was originally founded as Kazinga National Park in 1952 and renamed in 1954 to mark a visit by Queen Elizabeth II of England. The park's diverse ecosystems, savannah grasslands, wetlands, crater lakes, tropical forests, and freshwater lakes, support an extraordinary variety of wildlife. Its landscape also includes the equator crossing itself, marked by monuments where visitors can stand with one foot in each hemisphere
